How is the Siemens PCS 7?
It’s being used in power plants and sewage treatment plants; it’s okay.
Is it a bit worse than the CS3000?
Siemens PCS7 is a control system that Siemens has been promoting in recent years. With the continuous advancement of automation, it has become increasingly difficult to make a clear functional distinction between DCS and PLCs; hence, Siemens developed this process control system (PCS). As for its actual performance in practice, I lack hands-on experience with it, so I would appreciate any guidance you can provide

It depends on where you apply it. Different manufacturers’ DCS systems target different market segments, which leads to a lack of awareness regarding certain brand’s DCS products in some industries. In my opinion, for electronic products, you really get what you pay for – the high-end CPUs of PCS7 can cost over 300,000 yuan, and Yokogawa’s CS3000 is also excellent; it seems to be particularly useful for optimization in the chemical industry
If funds allow it, use DCS; PLC will always remain a weak point
Each has its advantages and disadvantages. The price of PCS7 is quite reasonable, while Japanese companies tend to be unfair in their practices, especially when it comes to spare parts
PCS7 is the same as DCS; it should be on par with Yokogawa’s products.

Siemens’ DCS modules will stop being produced after 2 years, and spare parts are no longer available – this is a common problem with imported DCS systems; Yokogawa is likely facing the same issue as well.
