Our company has been experimenting with the use of ozone to treat industrial wastewater. We have carried out numerous ozone oxidation processes, but the results have not been satisfactory – parameters such as COD and pH have not changed significantly. Let me share some humble opinions, just to help boost this post. Ozone oxidation: as emission standards become stricter and the reuse of wastewater becomes more common, oxidation processes are being used increasingly in advanced wastewater treatment systems. As far as I know, their application in industrial wastewater is still limited; they are mostly used in experimental settings or for disinfecting fresh water. This is probably related to factors such as ozone generators, oxidation rates, dosage levels, mixing methods, and the handling of residual ozone. These are just my humble opinions; please feel free to criticize them
The main influencing factors are: 1. the amount of ozone added, 2. concentration, 3. temperature, 4. pH value
I think the most important factor is cost-performance; relatively speaking, the development of ozone has not been very rapid. I have also tried to carry out engineering and process tests on ozone oxidation of wastewater, but there are some issues that hinder the development of ozone: one. Cost-performance and stability of ozone generators. II. Regarding the method of mixing air and water, it seems that there is no particularly good method at the moment; air-water mixers and aeration are commonly used, but their effectiveness is not yet sufficient. Three. Its strong oxidizing properties increase the cost of use. IV. Cooling performance.

1# **Is anggang pure ozone or ozone UV?** If it is pure ozone, I know there is a certain relationship with pH; whereas in the case of ozone ultraviolet light, as Feiling Banzhu mentioned, it is also related to suspended particles.
The biggest problem in the industry is the low utilization rate of ozone, which leads to increased costs. Ozone is still only suitable for advanced treatment; it can be considered if the standards are not met after biological treatment.
I look forward to hearing about experiences with the use of ozone in pretreatment. I visited a wastewater treatment plant in an industrial park; the wastewater fed into the plant was of difficult-to- biodegrade type, having been treated by various chemical companies to a COD level of 500. After undergoing ozone pretreatment, no significant improvement was observed, and attempts to identify the underlying factors responsible for this failed.
Personally, I think this approach might be a time-consuming process, with little noticeable effect in a short period of time.
