Rerating is the same as re-rating – clear now?
If you don’t understand the meaning of ‘rating an EETC machine’, you would surely know what ‘re-rating’ is. :)
Regrade the equipment; as its service life increases, its performance inevitably declines (regardless of the maintenance measures used). To ensure its safe and reliable continued use, it can be regraded so that it is used at a lower level (with reduced load capacities, etc.).
