Our company previously used Yankuang Beisu coal, whose ash fusion point is around 1250 degrees and whose ash content is relatively high at 20%. Now we want to mix Shenmu coal with Beisu coal in order to reduce costs. Could you please advise us on the appropriate mixing ratio as well as the controls required for the gasification process? We appreciate your insights If comrades from Luhua and Guotai are available, I would appreciate it if you could share your experience and materials. Thank you.

Aside from the ash fusion point and viscosity-temperature relationship (critical viscosity), which have non-additive properties and thus require verification through calculations, the other indicators can be obtained by referring to charts or through calculations

Can it be understood that the second item, BS coal, refers to the coal quality after washing? In that case, blending is quite simple. Considering the labor-intensive nature of this blending process as well as its ease of execution, it’s best to set the initial mixing ratio at 1:1. It seems that this should work fine. If raw BS coal is used for blending, the ratio needs to be reduced so that the ash content after blending remains within acceptable levels. It is still recommended to: 1. Analyze the composition of the coal ash (this can be done by analyzing each type of coal separately and then calculating based on the desired ratio); 2. Analyze the melting characteristics of the ash after blending, or use a triangular phase diagram to determine the relevant range; 3. If possible, it’s also good to create a viscosity-temperature curve to identify the optimal operating range; 4. Make adjustments to the parameters after conducting trial burns. OK, go ahead bravely!
I have corrected it; BS raw coal still needs to be washed into washed coking coal before being mixed with SM coal. Wandering the world, brother, do you have a detailed plan of action?

If that’s the case, there’s no need to mix it with other fuels; it can be used directly. Last month I mixed 6,000 tons of it, and both the analysis results and test outcomes were satisfactory – it’s a quite good quality of coal. Only the dosing amount needs to be slightly adjusted for pulping due to changes in moisture; everything else, including gas production, is normal.
