Personal opinions on the member self-recommendation upgrade section

I had nothing to do today, so I browsed around the forum and checked out the section where members can apply for upgrades on their own. It was quite impressive. Take a look at those who applied at the beginning: the moderator gave yudongyang a +10 to reputation and +100 to charm; baodingzhai received a +10 to reputation and +102 to charm; yzflow got +7 to contributions; ymcgh got +6 to contributions; kanasyu got +1 to reputation and +48 to charm; yu_er_2009 got +1 to reputation and +66 to charm. Although the later applicants didn’t receive any increase in reputation or contributions, the amount of charm and wealth they were given wasn’t small either. At least it would take me a month or two to earn that much. I have no issues with these members; I’m just discussing things objectively. I’ve been registered on this forum for two and a half years now. My contribution score comes from sponsoring the forum, while my reputation score is the result of winning competitions. I was happy for a while after that, but such increases in reputation and contributions are quite disheartening. It’s easier to accept increases in wealth and charm. At least in my opinion, gaining reputation and contributions is something honorable. The moderator probably doesn’t know everything about all aspects, so I’m not sure what the criteria for these score increases are Why can only students in grades one, two, and three apply? Although my rank is quite high, I still want to graduate from university sooner. After checking it myself, I think I’m almost ready to advance to the next level in university. But then again, how much wealth and appeal have I gained over these past six months? HaiChuan encourages technical exchanges, but how many posts actually contain real technical content? There is hardly any difference in the ratings given to truly technical posts or replies compared to ordinary discussions. Take a look at how many people rate a post or suggestion made by site administrators or moderators – and what about ordinary members? Many long-time members have left Haichuan or chosen to dive here, and that plays a role in this situation. The forum has changed a lot since I first registered; I’m finding it increasingly difficult to adapt to these changes. Maybe I’m just too conservative and traditional, unable to keep up with the times. I’m just complaining out of boredom; if there’s anything inappropriate in my comments, please ask the moderators to remove them!

Welcome back – how did you end up being a moderator again?
The moderator is right; one should maintain a calm mindset. My level is high enough, so there’s no problem with communicating or downloading materials. After all, the internet is virtual, and I don’t care about such things. I just focus on the facts. I’ve been registered for two and a half years now – take a look at how few posts I’ve made. I’ve read the requirements for being a technical expert, and I don’t think I meet them. I don’t want to get removed from my position after applying for two months, nor do I want to post meaningless posts just to pass some evaluations

People are prone to laziness, and to reduce this tendency, we can definitely put pressure on ourselves! :) Take a look at Master echommm – she keeps working hard to enable full-text search; be sure to learn from her a lot!
If I post 500 posts to get to university, then I’ll have to post thousands to get there – who am I supposed to turn to? :lol
Hehe, the original poster is an old moderator; of course, they get promoted faster when they’re moderators! Wen Bing is not bad either; back in the day, she even made it onto the list of those with the most posts! I don’t know if it’s due to a lack of motivation that there are fewer posts, or if I’ve been overtaken by someone else! Keep working hard and push him down again! :lol
I’ve never been a moderator at all. You can tell from the number of posts I’ve made and my points – I basically don’t post any meaningless messages; I prefer to stay silent, haha. I’ll try to reach 1000 posts before being promoted to the next level
