Are backup compressors provided at long-distance pipeline stations?

As the title suggests, I came across a project in which a backup unit was installed for the compression unit, and I found it quite hard to understand. Has anyone seen something like this before?
The decision to install a backup machine is made based on the importance of the medium being transported by the conveying system. If the losses resulting from a disruption in transportation are greater than the cost of adding an additional backup unit, then it makes sense to have one. For example, it’s not strange to have a backup compressor in the Shaanxi-Beijing pipeline
It’s quite rare to have such backups; are there compressors used in the equipment at the compression stations at the beginning of long-distance pipelines?
If a backup is provided for the compressor unit, it would be better to create an additional redundant line as well. Haha. It’s really funny.
