Who can tell me what the composition and function of instrument air in the methanol synthesis unit are? What is the difference between it and regular air? And why is it called instrument air? Thank you, sea friends!

Instrument air, also known as compressed air, has a composition similar to that of ordinary air; it is mainly used to deactivate catalysts and to power pneumatic control valves!
Instrument air serves as the power source for pneumatic control valves; it is essentially air. What sets it apart from compressed air is that it must be dried to ensure that its dew point temperature is below minus 40 degrees, thereby preventing condensation within the valve’s operating mechanism and avoiding any impact on its functionality.
