Has anyone used the Sichuan Tianyi XNC-98 methanol synthesis catalyst? From the middle stage of the catalyst operation, the bed temperature began to fluctuate frequently, branching sometimes occurred, and the product yield also decreased significantly. The current highest bed temperature is 276 degrees Celsius, while the temperature at the inlet is 158 degrees Celsius. The overall distribution of the bed temperature is not good. Are there any experts in this field who could discuss this issue?

Please let us know the shape of your methanol synthesis tower. In fact, temperature fluctuations and uneven bed temperatures have nothing to do with the catalyst itself; either there is a problem with the way it is filled, or there is an issue with the design of the synthesis tower.
There is no issue with the design, as it’s not the first batch of catalysts; loading problems are possible. It should be related to the catalyst
Is it the constant-temperature synthesis tower from Hangzhou Linda? It seems that the reaction activity in some areas has decreased significantly, and the carbon content at the inlet is on the high side.
We need to first hear about your tower types and production situation in order to conduct a more thorough analysis. Surface phenomena do not necessarily reflect underlying issues

How can the intermediate inlet temperature of the catalyst be reduced to 158°C? How do you raise the temperature to the reaction temperature? External heating source?
