Study on Aspen version changes

Although I have been exposed to different versions, it’s quite difficult for me to specify the changes in those common modules. So far, I have only found the New files for V7.0 and 11.1; I’m not sure what version others are using. Could you please provide the WhatsNew files for each version (they are in the installation folder)? Once I have them, I’ll share them with everyone. Thank you in advance. I plan to make a comparison from 11.1 to V7. As far as I know, the available versions are (12.1, 2004, 2006, 2006.5). I got in touch a bit late. I’m using V7 now; I used to use 11.1
I have used Aspen 11.1, 2004, 2006, 2006.5, and V7; I am currently using V7.1. It seems that the software interface has changed quite a lot, as have the suites, but the basic usage of Aspen Plus remains largely the same; the database, however, has seen significant updates.

Changes in these versions of the Aspen Engineering Suite can be observed starting from Aspen 2006, with preliminary integration efforts underway. However, AspenV7 has seen the greatest changes in terms of integration, reflecting a shift in the focus of development. I have used V11.1, V2004, and V2006.5, and it seems that as the version numbers increase, the core functionality of the software remains largely unchanged; the main improvements are updates to the data and the addition of features that make it easier to operate and search.
You’re all using higher versions; I’m still on version 11.1, mainly because I don’t have any other versions, so I can only use this version for learning*. I’m really looking forward to being able to use the newer version.
8# fhqypm A higher-version database is better, but this leads to increased physical memory consumption. It is best to choose the version based on your actual needs and computer specifications.

I’m curious what the purpose is for the original poster in studying the Aspen version? What kind of task is this?
