In boiler design, the design pressure for the superheater, evaporator, and economizer is all 1.75 MPa. How is the test pressure for the hydrostatic test determined?
In factories, hydrostatic tests are conducted at 1.5 times the maximum allowable working pressure for pressure-bearing components; The overall hydraulic test pressure for the power plant shall be not less than 1.25 times the design pressure of the superheater, and not less than 1.1 times the design pressure at the inlet of the economizer; the higher of these two values shall be adopted. If there is a reheat system, the hydrostatic test pressure for the reheater shall be 1.5 times the design pressure of the reheater.

That is, the overall hydrostatic test pressure of the boiler should be 1.25 times the operating pressure of the boiler drum. The hydrostatic test pressure for the reheater (excluding the reheater tubes) is 1.5 times the operating pressure of the reheater. The hydrostatic test pressure for the main body of a DC boiler is 1.25 times the outlet pressure of the fluid, and shall not be less than 1.1 times the inlet pressure of the economizer. When the actual maximum operating pressure of the boiler is lower than the rated operating pressure, the test pressure can also be calculated based on the determined actual maximum operating pressure. If the user increases the operating pressure of the boiler (but not above its rated operating pressure), a hydrostatic test must be conducted again based on the increased operating pressure. When determining the hydrostatic test pressure, it is important to ensure that the membrane stress does not exceed 90% of the yield strength of the material used in the component at the test temperature. Note that the test pressure for the component is different from the test pressure for the entire unit. I made this mistake too.
1.5 times the design pressure. .
