Tyco’s valves these days are manufactured in some developing countries at very low costs; so why are they sold at such high prices? First, they have plenty of money and are willing to spend it freely. Second, they enjoy a high level of popularity; they have factories in Nanjing. For example, if someone else sells a valve for 100 RMB, they want to sell theirs for 300–500 RMB – there’s no way that can be competitive!
