Brick support plate for four-nozzle gasification furnace

It is said that the lining of the gasification chamber in a four-nozzle gasifier has a ring of support bricks in the middle of the chamber. It is unknown whether these support bricks experience overheating during actual operation
Poor coal quality and low liquid levels are common occurrences.
So can we do without these brick slabs? I don’t see any intermediate brick backing layer in Texaco’s furnace
As far as I know, that brick holding panel will not overheat. Having brick supports is not a bad thing either; it’s beneficial for changing the orientation of the bricks.
