Is cold drawing the same as cold straining in pipeline stress?

In pipeline stress analysis, there are cold drawing and cold straining – do they mean the same thing? How is cold tightening usually achieved during construction?
Cold drawing involves stretching under cold conditions, while cold compressing involves pressing under cold conditions; the directions of the forces applied in these two processes are opposite

SH/T 3051-2004 Terms for Petrochemical Piping Engineering: Piping cold spring – During pipeline installation, intentional pre-deformation of the pipes is induced to create the desired initial displacement and stress. Cold spring ratio – The ratio of the value of piping cold spring to its total compensation amount. My understanding is that since pipelines undergo certain thermal deformation and associated stresses as they go from the installation state to the operational state, applying force in the opposite direction during installation can create reverse deformation and stress; this, in turn, helps to reduce the new deformation and stress that occur when the pipeline enters operational mode. I’m not sure what \"cold drawing\" means
