What exactly is the fuel, and what is the amount of energy stored? An explosion-proof motor can be used for the pump.
The height of the dike surrounding the fuel storage area should meet the following requirements: (It should be called a fire dike.) 1. For fixed tanks, the volume should correspond to that of the largest tank in the storage area. 2. For floating roof tanks, the volume should be half that of the largest tank in the storage area. 3. The fire dike for fixed tanks must be at least 1.0 M high. 4. The fire dike for horizontal tanks must be at least 0.5 M high. 5. Pumps should be placed outside, and explosion-proof motors should be used. 6. Pipelines passing through the fire dike wall must be properly filled and sealed.

Generally, the height of the cofferdam needs to be determined based on the medium stored and its equivalent value. Pumps in the tank area should be placed outside the cofferdam, and proper sealing must be ensured for the pipeline entering the pumps through the wall; otherwise, it will cause problems during fire safety inspections.
