The steam control valve is being opened wider and wider! If the tower pressure is not maintained, the tower temperature will drop! The steam pressure remains unchanged! Because the flow meter is broken! Can’t see the traffic! (Out of several towers, only this one is having problems; the steam for all the towers comes from one pipeline.) Please let us know where the problem lies! Haven’t encountered it before! Is there a problem with the reboiler? Thank you all
It is possible that the OP value of the on-site control valve is not synchronized with the OP value displayed on the DCS; it is necessary to check this on site
Check whether the operation of the control valve is normal. Sometimes it may get stuck.
Try to see if there is still any flow when the valve is fully closed. Either the valve has been in use for too long, or there may be loosening or displacement of the linkage in the valve head; please conduct an inspection to verify this.

First, is there a pressure gauge behind the steam control valve? If so, the level of pressure there can be used to determine whether enough steam is reaching the reboiler. Second, whether the temperature of the water used for cooling at the top of the tower changes; if the reflux temperature is too low or the amount of reflux is too large, then the amount of steam required will definitely increase. Third, “the steam pressure remains constant!” ”Is it the total steam pressure, or the pressure before the valve in this tower, or the pressure after the valve? The magnitude of the flow rate can be preliminarily determined by the pressure difference before and after the valve.

Heat exchanger: Check the pressure on the steam side; if it is low, there is no problem, but if it is high, scaling has occurred. 4. 5# freegoto: There is no pressure gauge behind the valve, but one is available in front of it; however, the pressure remains stable! By saying the steam pressure remains constant, I mean that this pressure does not change! The reflux temperature has not changed! I don’t know what’s going wrong! It’s so annoying! :(
What are the properties of the material medium? Prone to sticking to the heat exchanger walls? Has any of the material components escaped? It is recommended to slightly open the bypass of the water remover to allow some steam to escape, so that condensate does not easily accumulate inside the heat exchanger.
A pressure gauge is installed in front of the steam trap to compare with the steam pressure.
