Can a gear pump be used as a liquid ammonia transfer pump? As far as I know, gear pumps are generally used for transporting media with high viscosity. However, the design team has proposed using gear pumps in our plant to transport liquid ammonia – I’m not sure if that’s feasible 、

Screw pumps are generally used for transportation!
It should be at the ammonia chiller! It’s in the small storage tank behind the inlet separation tanks in sections 1 and 2, right? It’s basically not used there; a rotary pump is what’s used there instead. Since positive displacement pumps are not affected by the state of matter, centrifugal pumps are not.
