In the general layout, what distance should be maintained between the acid tanks within the tank area to meet fire safety requirements? To which category of hazardous materials does sulfuric acid belong: Class A, B, or C? There doesn’t seem to be any clear regulations regarding fire protection equipment.
Sulfuric acid falls under the category of strong oxidizing agents; the project I was working on recently was classified as Category B.
Sulfuric acid is classified as Category B, but there are many standards for its storage and transportation; I’ve listed some of them below. I’m not entirely sure about these standards either, and it’s unclear whether there are any conflicts between them. \"General Rules for the Storage of Commonly Used Hazardous Chemicals\" (GB15603-1995), \"Technical Requirements for the Storage and Maintenance of Corrosive Substances\" (B17915-1999), \"Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings\" (GB50016—2006). It seems that the third one takes more considerations into account!

In the examples for Category B in building codes, fuming sulfuric acid is mentioned, without specifying that it is 98% sulfuric acid.
