Our factory has several film blowing machines. A few days ago, we asked the procurement department to buy materials, but they were deceived by unscrupulous sellers; we ended up purchasing a batch of HDPE with high fluidity that cannot be processed. I would like to ask if there are any additives that can reduce its fluidity
If your requirements are not high, you can try blending in other PE materials (with good flow properties) to improve the flowability
If the final product does not require high strength, you can also try lowering the extrusion temperature. A lower temperature increases the viscosity of the melt, but this may affect the overall processing speed. Buy some good ingredients and mixing them together is also a good option.

HDPE prices are not low at all! I guess it’s needed again. If a small amount of polymeric wax is added, it can also improve fluidity.

It’s completely possible to use PE with good fluidity in combination with regular PE. If strength decreases, a three-component blend can be tried: high-fluidity PE, low-fluidity PE, and the PE whose properties need to be altered, with the proportions of these three components used to make adjustments
