Our company has a boiler that supplies steam to the entire plant. Is it possible to generate superheated steam at 220 degrees by installing equipment on the main pipeline? The boiler’s parameters are 6 t/h, with a rated pressure of 1.25 MPa and a rated temperature of 195 degrees!
This can be achieved by adding a superheater to the steam pipeline.

This is a pressure vessel; it’s likely that you don’t have the necessary qualifications to handle this task. Find a specialized boiler manufacturing company – they will carry out the calculations for you.
To install a superheater, a heat source with a temperature above 220 degrees is required to heat the existing steam at 1.25 Mpa and 198 degrees; otherwise, it is not possible to do so.
Saturated steam is superheated further, or by injecting water and then superheating again
Saturated steam needs to be fed into a superheater for further heating in order to produce superheated steam, and the superheater is usually located inside the boiler.
Has anyone ever used a superheater (electrically heated) installed on steam pipes to convert saturated steam at 190 degrees into superheated steam at 220 degrees?
Of course, there’s no problem. Electric superheaters have a simple design. But it still has to be produced by pressure vessel manufacturers. 8# hhit2003
Saturated water at 195 degrees corresponds to a saturated pressure of 1.39797 MPa (14.265 kgf/cm2), whereas the rated pressure is 1.25 MPa; steam at this pressure is already superheated, and the actual operating conditions may not reach this level. If the superheat is to be increased, it poses a challenge to the strength of the equipment; it is necessary to seek evaluation and assistance from qualified manufacturers.
I guess you don’t have the qualifications, but the idea is feasible.
