How to get started

I’m a newcomer in the piping department and don’t know what to do on a daily basis. Could anyone with experience give me some advice? What books should I read to get started? I’m currently reading the standards, but I feel like I’m not understanding them well!
Find a P&ID diagram and, in conjunction with the specifications, thoroughly understand the process. Once you understand the process, everything else will seem much simpler! Hope you hit the road soon! ! !
It depends on whether you work on processes or piping; however, processes often start with piping as well. Pipelines are further categorized within the facility into pipeline machinery, piping systems, and pipeline materials. Different pipelines have different specifications, depending on the type: oil pipelines, gas pipelines, long-distance pipelines, urban heating and gas pipelines, power pipelines, and so on. In addition to the regulations, you can also look at some manuals, which cover a wider range of topics. Such as chemical process manuals, installation design manuals for process pipelines in petrochemical plants, and petrochemical design documents.
