In Woody Company’s manufacturing processes, the chlorine pipeline near the electrolytic cells cannot be made of metal; currently we use fiberglass for such pipelines, but over time they tend to thin out and leak. Some manufacturers also use other materials. Please provide some successful cases. # hcbbs

It’s at the electrolyzer outlet, right? Currently, we use titanium behind the chlorine control valve. Fiberglass is still used in front of the valve. There is corrosion; a few days ago, the operation was halted due to the shedding of fiberglass fibers, as well as inadequate regulation by the chlorine valve, which resulted in high chlorine pressure.
It is best to use non-metallic pipes for this application; some use fiberglass. Even when fiberglass is used, it’s not ordinary fiberglass – the material inside such pipes isn’t an inorganic mat containing glass fiber fibers. The resin used in fiberglass is vinyl-based resin. Other options include CPVC+FRP and PP+FRP, but I think CPVC+FRP is the best choice. There are definitely no issues with using this material.
If titanium is used, be sure to pay attention to grounding and neutral connection.
