For the Ia series of pipes, the dimensions and theoretical weight are as follows: nominal diameter, outer diameter... SCH.10S... DN mm kg/m A B 20 3/4 26.9 2.0 1.32. Does the A value listed after DN represent the inner diameter? What does B 3/4 mean, and what does kg/m1.32 represent? Should the material specification be indicated as DN20 or DN26.9? Could you please help explain it? Thank you
20 is the nominal diameter, in metric units; 3/4 is in imperial units, which corresponds to 3/4 inch (commonly known as 6-inch pipe). 26.9 is the outer diameter of the pipe, and 1.32 kg/m means 1.32 kilograms per meter. When purchasing the material, the model number should be DN20.
It should be written as DN20; there is no such notation as DN26.9, which is not standard

It is better to write it as φ26.9x2; if written as DN20, SCH10s, there are still issues regarding the large outer diameter and small outer diameter, making it difficult to be clear.

The most accurate way to determine pipe dimensions is by using the outer diameter multiplied by the wall thickness; DN represents the nominal diameter, which is neither the inner nor the outer diameter, but is close to the inner diameter. Generally, sewn pipes are simply denoted as DN, as the pressure to which they can be subjected is limited and their wall thickness is fixed! Seamless pipes are used for fluid transport; their outer diameters vary depending on the design pressure, so they are specified as outer diameter * wall thickness! Sch represents the wall thickness grade of the pipe, or the pipe’s designation, which is determined through calculations; thereafter, the wall thickness is looked up in a table of wall thickness grades! The wall thickness grade is this table code!
