Regarding the tilting chutes for discharging coke from the coke towers in delayed coking units, what design is used in each unit, what is the inclination angle, and are they made of cement-lined steel plates or steel chutes with spring supports? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each option?
We have 27 degrees; it’s a steel chute with spring supports, and the steel plates often deform, so they need to be replaced.
These days, they are generally made of concrete and steel structures, with shock-absorbing strips, and their performance is better than that of pure steel structures
Concrete with steel structure and shock absorption, but the chute has fallen once – it’s too dangerous; now it’s being reinforced regularly
