This post was last edited by hotboy3327 on 2009-9-3 at 18:30. Our factory’s JN60-6 type coke ovens have been in operation for 10 years. The recent problem is that the temperature in combustion chamber No. 11 is low, ranging between 1170–1190 degrees (for standard chambers); the temperatures in both odd and even burners are low as well. This issue has persisted for 2–3 weeks. Detailed observations: The temperatures in other combustion chambers are normal, including those in chambers No. 10 and No. 12; there is no dust in the combustion chambers, and the suction level is normal. Measures taken so far include: 1. Increasing the suction in regenerator No. 11; 2. Reducing the suction in regenerator No. 13; 3. Decreasing the suction in regenerator No. 10; 4. Increasing the gas flow rate through the orifice plate in chamber No. 11. So far, no significant improvement has been seen, as the temperature remains low. Heating mode: The coke oven operates in a dual-front, single-back configuration. The problem occurs on the machine side. The heating gas used is blast furnace gas. I seek advice from experienced experts and professionals to find an effective solution. Thank you in advance! :D
If the pressure on the machine side is low, check whether the furnace lid is properly sealed, as well as whether the low-pressure ammonia spray from the rising pipe is functioning correctly. Is there any water leakage into the carburizing chamber?

Check whether it is a single standard hole or an entire row? If it is a problem with the standard hole, please check the ramp issue. If it is a problem with an entire row, please check the exhaust equipment and the suction force at the roof.
Measure the resistance of the regenerator chamber. Sometimes the suction force at the top of the regenerator is the same as that in a standard regenerator chamber, but if the resistance is high, the suction force needs to be increased. Take a look at the lifting height of the gas gyroscope too! In short, it should be considered from multiple aspects
When burning blast furnace gas, if there are no problems with the regenerator and the chutes, as long as the temperature at the standard ports is low, the temperatures of the half-rows will definitely also be low. If there are no issues with the air inlets on the waste gas trays, as well as with the suction forces of those trays and their adjacent ones, then the next thing to check is the orifice plates of the subsequent serial number; after that, check those of the same serial number. If it’s necessary to use larger orifice plates, adjustments need to be made to the air inlets and suction forces in order to ensure a proper balance between gas and air. Monitor the temperature changes over time – sometimes, providing more gas can actually result in a lower temperature, so this can be tried out
It shouldn’t be a problem caused by ammonia spray; if that were the case, the walls in the furnace area where carbonization takes place would turn black due to low temperatures, and this could be observed during coke pushing. Our factory has experienced such a situation before. If it’s a single vertical flue, it should be a problem with the inclined duct ; If it’s a whole row, then the suction force needs to be measured. If necessary, all five types of pressure should be measured.
