I would like to ask about the issues related to boiling a distillation tower: the technical requirements, operating procedures, duration of the boiling process, and the acceptance criteria. It would be great if there were a set of guidelines for carrying out this process. I would be extremely grateful if everyone could help!
Sharing some personal experience: 1. For initial processing before driving, steam and cook the material, then add alkali and follow the standard procedure. 2. For regular processing, just steam and cook it as usual, adding condensate along the way
Follow the standard procedure; generally, short alkali washing is not carried out during distillation. If conditions permit during the initial startup, alkali solution can be added to the reflux tank. It’s not necessary usually, as the materials in the distillation section are already relatively clean.

Time: 36–48 hours. It can be adjusted based on the hot washing effect. Requirements: It must not exceed the design specifications of the equipment, there must be sufficient backflow, the heating rate should be slow, and the filter should be cleaned promptly through backwashing. Standard: The water discharged from each point should be clean and clear.
Is it okay to use chemical cleaning and then pre-form a layer of film? Will methanol dissolve the membrane?
For boiling towers, depending on the properties of the product, it’s best to consult a design institute – they can certainly provide you with very detailed technical specifications!
What chemicals are needed to operate a boiling tower? Thank you in advance!
For dewaxing, hot alkaline solution is sufficient; steam is used directly in the tower to control the temperature, while the alkaline solution is added in the reflux tank
Before testing, if water is not available, you can use plain flour to clean the inside of the equipment. Acidic towers are treated with alkali during cooking, but this is not good for the material of the equipment
