In my opinion, connecting a floor drain to the oily waste well system is inappropriate. The floor drain should be connected to the drainage pipe system. Floor drains are used to remove water from the floor, and the quality of this water is worse than that of water from any other fixtures; it contains many solids, fibers, hair, and other deposits. Furthermore, if the sink used in the owner’s unit is not an odor-proof one, connecting it to the grease trap system may cause odors from that system to spread into the interior, thereby affecting the indoor air quality.
