Anti-caking agents are generally added to the final product; are they also added to the raw materials? If this friend has experience in this area, please provide more details – what are the costs, and how is it added?!
I wonder what method is used for granulating the compound fertilizer produced by the poster? How is the caking of your compound fertilizer, and is there any powdering? The problem of caking can generally be resolved by adding anti-caking agents (powder + oil), but caking may still occur if the temperature is too high and the products are stored for too long.
Anti-caking agents generally cannot be added to the material in the granulator, as it will affect granulation. Factors such as the formula, conditioning agents, amount of liquid phase, and rotation speed can be considered. Anti-caking components such as vibrators and liners can also be added to the granulator.
Caking in the granulator during production is a quite troublesome issue, and there isn’t really any good solution for it. We use vibrators in the feed chute, rubber linings inside the granulation drum, and air vents on the drum walls; Also, it is important to maintain stability in the granulation conditions, avoiding fluctuations in humidity; especially during summer, regular cleaning is necessary.
1. A rubber lining is used, which is fixed in 4 sections with stainless steel strips; the rubber sheet is slightly larger than the drum wall, and there is space for air to pass through on the drum wall. As it rotates and reaches the top, the rubber drops, causing the material to fall as well. 2. Shock absorbers are installed at the front of the granulator, with the exact number depending on one’s production process. 3. If a stainless steel lining is used, manual cleaning should be carried out at the end of each shift.
Only when materials have a certain viscosity can they aggregate into particles. How can granulation be done without viscosity! The scarring problem in drum granulation is very troublesome. Especially the amino acid process. When starting the trial run, if the granulation operator is not skilled enough, it is easy to cause \"clumping\" of the material. This is quite normal; it requires the granulation operator to keep trying and to be bold in carrying out the granulation process. After gaining some experience and mastering the technique over time, scarring inside the granulator basically does not occur (or occurs very rarely). Our usual practice is to have each shift carry out cleaning at the handover time. Otherwise, the quality of the subsequent batches will be poor, and production levels cannot be increased. Just my humble opinion, for everyone’s discussion.
It is better to use a rubber lining in the granulator; there is no need to clean it every time there is a shift change – cleaning can be done incidentally during shutdowns for maintenance. It’s best not to use anti-caking agents in the granulator as it’s too costly; the key is for the granulation workers to pay close attention and maintain proper control. On the contrary, the severe scarring in the drying drum is difficult to deal with.
Recently, our factory has been facing severe caking problems in the granulation and drying machines used for producing compound fertilizers. We’re not sure what the cause is; please advise us, experts!
The urine-based material shouldn’t be dry, otherwise the dryer won’t stick to it. Regarding material sticking in the dryer: 1. During granulation, make sure the material is slightly dry enough before feeding it into the dryer so as to ensure a good balling rate; 2. While ensuring the moisture level is appropriate, check whether the inlet temperature of the dryer can be reduced, as this can increase the air flow. 3. Under formula adjustment, add the items that need to be included. Or adjust the urea, add more ammonium chloride, sulfuric acid, and stuff like that. Extra: Don’t tell me you use disk granulation – then I’ve written all this for nothing
