Everyone, I would like to clarify what exactly is meant by infrastructure in a chemical plant construction project. As I understand it, this includes 1. Utility systems: water, electricity, steam, and gases (compressed air, nitrogen, etc.). 2. Logistics and transportation in the factory: Additionally, is the factory’s wastewater discharge system considered part of the infrastructure? Does the HVAC in the factory building fall under the scope of infrastructure? Does the construction of plant buildings and equipment foundations fall under infrastructure? Does the civil engineering of a factory fall under the category of infrastructure? Thank you

The utility systems and infrastructure for chemical projects include: general transportation planning, water supply and drainage, power supply, telecommunications, heating, process external pipelines, storage and transportation facilities, flares, air separation and air compression units, incineration plants, desalination plants, circulating water systems, tank farms, control rooms, chemical handling areas, analysis and testing facilities, civil engineering works, waste treatment systems, maintenance facilities, and administrative services, among others. The logistics and transportation systems in a factory include railways, warehouses, docks, factory roads, as well as loading and unloading facilities (for railways, vehicles, liquids, solids), and so on. The factory’s wastewater treatment system falls under the category of infrastructure and is part of the water supply and drainage system. The HVAC in factory buildings does not fall under the category of infrastructure; it is a specialty within building design. The construction of plant buildings and equipment foundations is not necessarily part of the infrastructure; it follows the design of the main project units. The civil work for the factory is explained as above.
