This post was last edited by olivetree on 2009-9-8 at 17:28 under the title “Temperature Regulator Selection Example”. Parameters: Fluid: Steam; Maximum inlet pressure: 100 psi; Outlet pressure: 90 psi; Maximum flow rate: 500 lbs/hr; Required temperature: 150°F; Distance from regulator to sensing point: 5’. To select the appropriate model: Enter 100 psi in the inlet pressure column; then enter 90 psi in the corresponding outlet pressure column. Find the connection size corresponding to a flow rate of 570 lbs/hr, which is 1”; the capillary temperature range is 77 – 158°F. Select a capillary length of 6-1/2’. ——FYI
Enter inlet column at ...............................................100 psi Enter 100 psi in the inlet pressure column. Where can one see the word “pressure”? I think you should enter 100psi in the column for the inlet. Others agree with olivetree!
Psi is the unit for pressure
Here, “column” refers to a row or column; judging from the unit used for entering content later on, it represents the pressure being applied
Thank you all, I understand now. . . .
Another possibility: move to the outlet pressure field and enter 90 psi? :sleepy:
I see now; I got the corresponding form today. It teaches you how to select the appropriate option using a table: first choose the option with an inlet pressure of 100 psi, then move to the row corresponding to the desired outlet pressure of 90 psi. Within that row, find the option that meets the required flow rate of 500 – this is 570. The connection size corresponding to 570 is 1 inch; all the other options do not meet the requirements. Thank you all!
To Locate Proper Model: Find the suitable option; it should be “Select the appropriate model””
