What is the use of CAD grids?
It’s about the usefulness of each coordinate system
Using the grid alone may not show much effect, but you’ll know once you turn on snapping, as the two are used together. You can right-click on the snapping switch to set the snapping distance; snapping allows you to target points on the grid.
Capturing is done for accurate positioning; just give it a try and you’ll see

I think fences are like the grid system in buildings, used for positioning!
I don’t use grid commands either, and my CAD program doesn’t have a grid feature; every time I open it, it shows a message saying that the grid is too dense to be displayed. So I didn’t see any use in the grid either.
I haven’t used the raster command either. I thought: it’s just useful for each coordinate system individually
The grid is used for capturing positions while drawing; by enabling the grid, it is possible to capture positions with precision at the grid points. Not very commonly used, but it can be quite useful sometimes.
