With a reduction in the pump impeller, the pressure will drop significantly, while the flow rate decreases only slightly; the current level will also decrease to some extent. When there is excessive outlet pressure from the pump, it is common to cut the impeller in order to appropriately reduce the pump’s head. This results in a decrease in motor power, thereby achieving energy savings.
