What kind of electrolytic device is used to electrolyze gold from waste liquid? Are there propeller-type electrolyzers, and where can such devices be purchased? I hope the experts here can help; thank you!
The “gold” in the electrolyte is generally recovered not through electrolysis but through displacement. Zinc is usually used.
That’s because the gold content in the electrolyte is very low, so using zinc for replacement doesn’t work; therefore, an electrolytic cell was considered as an alternative
As far as I understand, your idea is feasible. But other metals need to be consumed; I’ve never worked with the electrolyzer you mentioned, so I can’t draw any conclusions
