45 is commonly used under moderate loads in general situations, and its shaft journals are usually smaller. 40Cr is primarily used for manufacturing shafts that are subject to heavy loads or have large diameters. 50Mn, with added manganese, is mainly used in applications with high impact forces, and it is also often used for shafts with large journals.
The quality of the pipe material is determined based on the properties of the material; it’s usually specified in the pipeline grade. Corrosion-resistant steel does not necessarily make it better than casings. Let’s first study the issue of sleeves; this issue is more in line with China’s national conditions.
No. 45 and 50Mn both belong to high-quality carbon structural steels. Steel No. 45: High plasticity and relatively high strength. Used in the normalized or quenched and tempered condition. It is cost-effective for use with ordinary shafts, keys, pins, etc. 50Mn: It has high elasticity, strength, and hardness. It is mostly used in the normalized or quenched state. Used for parts with high wear resistance and heavy loads. Such as gears, gear shafts, etc. 40Cr is an alloy structural steel used for relatively important components, as well as gears and gear shafts with larger diameters.
