The air separation unit that our company is preparing to install will be equipped with 10 online analyzers (per unit, along with an argon system). I would like to know how many analyzers are used in air separation units manufactured by other companies Where is the installation location?

10-11 units are basically available in full; generally, air separation manufacturers will consider this carefully for you. Online analyzer manufacturers usually partner with ABB; do you choose the offline analyzers on your own? Be careful; our factory suffered losses because we lacked experience at the time.
The number of online analyzers needs to be determined based on the scale of your air separation unit and the amount of components that need to be separated. Typically, air separation unit manufacturers have complete sets of drawings, which specify which media require on-line analyzers. If the air separation unit is large, separate online analyzer rooms and manual analysis rooms should be provided. We have built 7,000 m3 oxygen air separation units; that’s how we did it.
Online analyzers for air separation generally have the following components: 1. Carbon dioxide measurement at the purifier outlet; 2. Moisture content after steam heater treatment ; 3. Moisture content measured after the aftercooler of the expansion booster ; 4. Oxygen purity at the heat exchanger outlet ; 5. Nitrogen purity at the heat exchanger outlet ; 6. Purity of main cooling oxygen ; 7 Main cooling nitrogen – nitrogen purity measurement ; 8. Total carbon content in primary coolant ; 9. Oxygen content in contaminated nitrogen gas ; 10. Argon purity of the argon fraction ; 11. Oxygen content in the crude argon gas at the outlet of the crude argon column ; 12. Oxygen and nitrogen content in pure argon in the pure argon tower.

For online analyzers, in addition to ABB, analyzers from brands such as Orthodyne Teledyne can also be chosen, and they perform quite well in practical use.
