Friends, we have some steam target shooting work to carry out recently. Could you tell us how to purchase the target boards?
It seems there’s no land available for purchase; we make our own aluminum sheets that are 10–20 mm thick and 20–30 mm wide, using them as reinforcement bars

There are generally three methods for constructing steam target plates: 1. Closed-type target plates, which are suitable for high-pressure or high-flow steam purging applications where a silencer is required. This method involves installing a blind flange on the main pipe; the installation process is similar to that of a target flow meter, with the target plate welded to the blind flange. For turbine applications, a combination of steel plate and aluminum plate can be used (the two are connected by bolts), with the thickness of the steel plate being determined based on calculations to meet the requirements. For ordinary purging tasks, aluminum sheet can simply be attached to the steel plate； 2. The open-type target plate is suitable for use at low pressures with low flow rates, in situations where there is no silencer; a pair of flanges are installed at the discharge end, and the target plate is held in place by these flanges. The target plate can be made of aluminum or polished wood ； 3. The width of the target plate should be between 8% and 12% of the inner diameter of the exhaust pipe, while its length must be greater than the inner diameter to ensure secure installation. For closed-type target plates, the thickness can be determined through calculations, following the standards for blind plates; the thickness of open-type target plates is generally 5 mm.
The target plates used for steam target shooting are made of aluminum, with a thickness of 16–20 mm and a width of around 20 mm. The surface of the target must be polished to facilitate observation, and several such plates are generally required. It can be reused after being used and polished.
