Our company now has a large project that produces organic wastewater containing ammonia nitrogen. Now if ammonia nitrogen is used for stripping, the cost is not very cost-effective. And the gas that finally comes out has to be absorbed with acid. I don’t know how to deal with the acid after it is saturated?
What is the daily wastewater treatment volume? What are the impurities in it? How much ammonia is there? The supported gas membrane process (also called permeable membrane desorption-chemical absorption, is equivalent to microscopically combining two towers (a gas stripping (stripping) tower and an acid absorption tower) into one): using a hydrophobic microporous hollow fiber membrane, the aqueous solution of ammonia (or volatile amines) travels on one side of the membrane, and dilute sulfuric acid travels on the other side of the membrane. Highly volatile ammonia (or volatile amines) pass through the gas membrane and are irreversibly chemically absorbed into the acid solution to be removed, recycled, purified and enriched. Advantages: Extremely effective, suitable for ammonia recovery at low or very low concentrations (500 - 10,000 ppm), so that the effluent can be discharged or reused up to standard. Without heating, pressurization, or vacuuming, the ammonia or amines in the wastewater can be concentrated dozens to hundreds of times, and the ammonia or amines in the wastewater can be reduced to 15 or even less than 1ppm. Disadvantages: pH value needs to be adjusted to 11-12 in advance. The by-product is ammonium salt. If ammonia (or amine) is to be reused, alkali (sodium hydroxide or calcium hydroxide) must be added and then distillation and other processes can be used to obtain a high-concentration ammonia (or amine) solution. Wastewater requirements: There should be no suspended solids, oil stains, surfactants, oxidants, etc. in the pretreated wastewater.
