What is the methanol consumption of your system? 60WT low-temperature methanol washing – that’s about 3 tons per day, right? What are the reasons for excessive methanol loss?
This device consumes 2 tons of methanol per day for MTBE production, recovers 0.38 tons, with a yield of 96%. The losses are also huge

I’ve heard that in some units, the high reflux position at the top of the tower and the low efficiency of the demister result in liquid being carried in the gas sent out, causing severe losses of methanol. Solution: Replace the high-efficiency demister and lower the reflux position.
