How many years do you think it takes before one can start working in (Verification\Approval\Finalization...): years years years (You may provide detailed reasons or information specific to your organization). Note: 4 points are awarded for each option, and 10–?? points will be given for question 4 depending on participation. The deadline for this activity is September 31, 2009 (reply date)
1. Your specialty: Process Engineering 2. Your role in design: Designer 3. Your length of service: Less than one year 4. The number of years you think is required before starting work in areas such as verification/audit/approval: 3 years, 5 years, 8 years
1. Your specialty: Process Engineering 2. Your role in design: Designer 3. Your length of service: 1 year 4. The number of years you think is required before starting work in areas such as verification/audit/approval: 5 years, 7 years, 9 years. Reason: Qualification certificates are needed to carry out such work, and these certificates can only be obtained after having sufficient work experience and working for a certain period of time.
1. Your specialty: (Process \ Piping \ Equipment \ .....) Process
2. Your role in design: (Design \ Verification \ Review \ Approval...) Design, Verification, Review
3. Your years of experience: 10 years
4. The number of years you think is required before starting to work in (Verification \ Review \ Approval...): 5 years, 8 years, 10 years (You may provide detailed reasons or information specific to your organization)
1. Your specialty: (Process\Piping\Equipment\.....) Chemical process engineering
2. Your role in design: (Design\Verification\Review\Approval...) Design
3. Your years of experience: 2 years
4. How many years do you think are required before one can take on tasks such as verification/ review/ approval?: 2 years, 5 years, 8 years. After 2 years of experience, one should be able to handle verification tasks; as for approval tasks, I believe more time is needed
1# me108924 1. Your field of expertise: Process engineering. 2. Your role in design: Designer. 3. Your length of work experience: 1.5 years. 4. The number of years you think is required before one can start working in areas such as verification, review, or approval: 2 years, 4 years, 5 years. Reason: I have a master’s degree; during my student days I assisted my supervisor on various engineering projects. I can get up to speed quickly after starting work, and I am eligible to take various certification exams now (since I have worked for 1 year after graduating from undergraduate school, while the requirements for most certification exams are 5 years of experience after graduation). This is my personal opinion; of course, the actual number of years required to work in such fields depends on an individual’s abilities, efforts, and opportunities for training. . .
1. Your field of expertise: Automatic Control 2. Your role in design: Design, Review 3. Your length of experience: 7 years 4. How many years do you think are necessary before one can start working in roles such as review/verification/approval?: 2 years, 5 years, 10 years. Reason: When starting work after graduating from school, one can be considered to be starting from scratch; the amount of knowledge acquired depends mainly on one’s ability to understand things. The more projects one works on, the deeper the understanding becomes, while with fewer projects, relatively less experience is gained. Knowledge takes shape as a system through a long process of accumulation
Specialty: Process Design; Role: Designer; Years of experience: 3 years. Minimum years of experience required to take on tasks such as verification/audit/approval: 5, 7, or 10 years. Reason: I believe that to reach the stage of verification, one needs at least an intermediate professional title; in our company, those with a master’s degree need four years before they can be promoted to engineer. As for review and approval, it is generally carried out by registered professionals.
1. Your specialty: (Process \ Piping \ Equipment \ ...) Piping design. 2. Your role in design: (Design \ Verification \ Review \ Approval…) Verification, review, approval. 3. Your years of experience: 24 years. 4. The minimum number of years you think is required before starting to engage in verification, review, or approval work: 5 years, 8 years, 11 years (you may provide detailed reasons or information specific to your organization). The Technical Code for Safety of Special Equipment TSG R1001-2008 sets requirements regarding the number of years of experience needed for verification, review, and approval tasks. However, large design firms require standards that exceed these regulations; given the larger scale of such installations, a higher level of design expertise is needed, and it is impossible to carry out tasks such as verification, review, and approval without a sufficient duration for design work.
1. Your specialty: (Process \ Piping \ Equipment \.....) Process
2. Your role in design: (Design \ Verification \ Review \ Approval...) Design, Verification
3. Your years of experience: 6 years
4. How many years do you think are required before one can start working in (Verification \ Review \ Approval...): 3 years, 7 years, 9 years. I believe that the time required for verification should not be too long, while review and approval require a higher level of expertise.
1. Your specialty: Process Engineering 2. Your role in design: Designer 3. Your length of service: Less than 1 year 4. The number of years you think is required before starting work as a reviewer/auditor/approver: 3 years, 8 years, 15 years. I have been working for only a short time; these are the required ages for reviewers, auditors, and approvers as specified in a project currently being carried out by our company.
