In the SHELL plant with a coal feed rate of 2,125 tons per hour, aside from the amount that is reused after preliminary water treatment, 40 tons per hour are discharged to the water treatment workshop
It seems that the wastewater volume for water-coal slurry is a bit higher!
The discharge of wastewater from gasification is closely related to the gasification process used; the wastewater generated by the Texaco process is relatively cleaner, followed by Shell, with the Ruhr process producing the worst-quality wastewater. The wastewater treatment processes for the effluents from these three types of furnaces are different.
