In the gasification shutdown or trip interlock sequence, the oxygen vent valve remains closed during shutdown. If one furnace suddenly trips, there will definitely be significant fluctuations in the flow rate and pressure in the oxygen pipeline system. Will such fluctuations have a major impact on the other furnace? How can the impact of such fluctuations be reduced?
To reduce such fluctuations, it is best to install a larger oxygen buffer tank; once one gasification furnace fails, the control room should be notified immediately so that the return line of the air separation liquid oxygen pump can be activated.
