Vortex flowmeters are used to measure the flow rate of slightly alkaline water, which is the water resulting from the separation of oil and water. In several instances, the flowmeter’s reading suddenly dropped to 0, or it displayed NaN values on the DCS system; automatic adjustment has not been possible in such cases. I would like to know what causes this problem with vortex flowmeters and how it can be resolved
Possible causes include: faults related to the connection cables, issues with the flow of liquid, damage to sensor components or foreign objects attached to the measuring probes, as well as faults in the converter components. Solutions involve addressing these causes, as well as checking the direction of the fluid and whether the pipe is fully filled
