Can a pipe with an outer diameter of 15 be welded to a pipe with an outer diameter of 14?

The original equipment uses a custom tube with an outer diameter of 15; I want to replace it with a standard tube having an outer diameter of 14 and weld it directly in place. I’m not sure if there will be any issues with sealing. The tube is nearly a vacuum.
It can be welded, but for thinner pipes, it is best to use an experienced welder, with TIG welding being the preferred method.
It is best to make one socket sleeve (100 in length) for socket welding. For your reference.

If the wall thickness is too thin, there may be problems with socket welding; we generally use socket welding for pipes with a thickness of 3 mm or more.
