To use some layman’s terms, is what you’re referring to similar to the mist eliminator at the top of an absorption tower? If so, please refer to this post: http://bbs.hcbbs.com/thread-544251-1-3.html
The dust from the water hoses in a wet dust collector should come out from the bottom; if that’s the case, the demister shouldn’t be effective. I’ve never done it either; I’m just talking casually.
It’s defogging, right? Simply put, it involves installing baffles and ensuring there is enough space, or, as mentioned on the second floor, using a defogger. If water is removed, then it’s unknown.

I have an idea: install an aerosol collector at the outlet, not a regular demister; it works very well. We use one set on a production line in a chemical plant there, and they require no free water, which is roughly what the original poster is implying.
