Let’s discuss together what kind of water treatment is necessary for an 8-ton boiler. Personally, I think two things are important: reliability and ease of operation.
The choice of water treatment process should be based on the local water quality and the conditions of the boiler; generally, water softening is sufficient. There are many manufacturers of fully automated water softeners available, and the FLECK series from the United States is commonly chosen. Generally, the treatments that need to be carried out include: 1. Supplementary water treatment – softening or desalination (using ion exchange resins or R.O.); 2. Water supply treatment – deoxygenation (thermal deoxygenation, chemical deoxygenation); for chemical deoxygenation, compounds such as hydrazine or DEHA, as well as hydroquinone, are used; 3. Boiler water treatment – phosphate treatment; 4. If condensate is to be reused, condensate treatment is necessary (to raise the pH of the system)
