Colleagues, I am very interested in chemical process simulation and am self-studying CHEMCAD. I have a few questions: 1. Can load performance diagrams for columns be created in CHEMCAD? 2. Why is the heat load calculated using CC (especially those with phase changes) quite different from that obtained by design institutes using other simulation software such as ASPEN PLUS?
I am also learning *ChemCAD. Question 1: ChemCAD cannot generate a load performance diagram for towers. (By the way, may I ask if Aspen and ProII can be used to create load performance charts for towers?) ) Question 2: I saw another post a few days ago that also mentioned this issue; I have been studying it recently as well, and I hope we can discuss it together.
Do you know the EQSIZE menu in CHEMCAD?
Friend on the 2nd floor, I posted a few days ago about the heat load calculation using CC for phase changes, but sadly no one paid attention. I found that the heat load due to phase change is only about 20% to 70% of the actual load, but the loads of the reboiler and the top condenser can be determined fairly accurately through simple calculations for the distillation column. The original poster can give it a try.
I noticed this issue while calculating the cold exchanger. Could someone please provide an example calculation so that we can analyze it together?
