Is painting required between the tube sheet and the tube box flanges after hydrotesting? How to paint? The space is quite small; it’s difficult to do sandblasting properly, and painting is also challenging.
Can’t the tube box be removed after applying hydraulic pressure?
There are now special stickers for painting; use these to cover the areas that are not to be painted, and remove them after the painting is done.
It is possible to paint the area covering the gap between the tube sheet and the tube box flanges before the hydrostatic test, but this isn’t really a good approach either!
