The following two specifications differ significantly in this regard; the project owner is a petrochemical company, yet the construction project is not a petrochemical project. Please share your views on this issue – what distance should be set? Since it’s not a petrochemical project. That’s 5 meters.
There is often a difference between actual settings and specifications; our distance from the roadside is generally 2 meters. There are ditches along our roads, with fire hydrants located on the outside of those ditches.
The nearest fire hydrant in my company is less than two meters away from the road
Outdoor fire hydrants are primarily used to supply water to fire trucks. Their DN100/DN150 connections are linked to the fire truck’s water intake pipes, which are typically 2 meters long each; therefore, it is advisable that outdoor fire hydrants not be too far from the roadside, to facilitate access for fire trucks to draw water. If the distance is too great, the fire truck will have to draw water using hoses, and the amount of water available will be much smaller. It is recommended to keep a distance of no more than 2 meters from the road edge in accordance with building codes
According to you, the building codes should be applied; if it’s within a petrochemical plant area, then the petrochemical regulations should be applied
I have a question now: the protection radius for outdoor fire hydrants is 120 meters, but clause 8.2.8 states that the distance between fire hydrants in the process plant area should not exceed 60 meters. So, do the fire hydrants in this process plant area refer to those indoors or outdoors?

Well, it’s better for fire hydrants to be as close to the road as possible; this also makes it easier for firefighters to operate them
