What are the requirements to become a registered safety engineer?

Eligibility Criteria Any citizen of the People’s Republic of China who complies with **laws and regulations and meets one of the following conditions may apply to take the Certified Safety Engineer professional qualification exam: 1. Hold an intermediate vocational school diploma in safety engineering or engineering economics (excluding accounting, statistics, and auditing majors; the same applies hereafter), and have at least 7 years of experience in work related to work safety； Or possess an associate degree in another related field, with at least 9 years of experience in work related to safety production. 　　2. Hold an associate degree in safety engineering or engineering economics, with at least 5 years of experience in work related to safe production ； Or hold an associate degree from another specialized university, with at least 7 years of experience in work related to safe production. 　　3. Hold a bachelor’s degree in safety engineering or engineering economics, with at least 3 years of experience in work related to safe production ； Or hold a bachelor’s degree from another specialized university, with at least 5 years of experience in work related to safe production. 　　4. Hold a second bachelor’s degree in safety engineering or engineering economics, or have graduated from a graduate program, and have at least 2 years of experience in work related to safe production ； Or have obtained a second bachelor’s degree in another field or graduated from a graduate program, with at least 3 years of experience in work related to safe production. 　　5. Hold a master’s degree in safety engineering or engineering economics, and have at least 1 year of experience in work related to safe production ； Or hold another professional master’s degree and have at least 2 years of experience in work related to safe production. 　　6. Hold a doctoral degree in safety engineering or engineering economics ； Or hold a doctoral degree in another field, with at least 1 year of experience in work related to safe production.
