Why are flexible hoses used for the connections in the auxiliary combustion chamber?

Dear masters, why are metal hoses used for the connections to the auxiliary combustion chamber? Can’t we just connect the pipes directly?
Perhaps considering the issue of thermal expansion, flexible connections offer better flexibility.
It is also easier for maintenance purposes; if pipes are connected directly, it is difficult to deal with freezing issues in winter. Generally, the pipes are insulated, and the temperature of the hoses is checked regularly.
Because the temperature in the auxiliary combustion chamber varies greatly, only hoses can be used; hard pipes would crack, for the same reason as in ordinary heating furnaces.
It is mainly used to facilitate the disassembly, assembly, inspection, and maintenance of the burners in the auxiliary combustion chamber.
The function of the auxiliary combustion chamber is to be used during startup; it places high demands on the igniter and pipelines, and the pipelines need to be regularly removed for cleaning. Facilitates inspection and maintenance.
