How to extract the information from attribute blocks? There are many attribute blocks in the layout – how can one extract the information from them and present it in the form of a list? Additionally, how can the information from the list be imported into the attribute blocks in the diagram, which is the reverse of the aforementioned operation. I hope experts can provide answers or hints.
Does no one pay attention to this issue? If it can be achieved, even if only half of it is accomplished, it can save a lot of time and improve work efficiency.
The CAD command attext can be used to extract attributes, but a template file is required. Search for and download AutoDWG Attribute Extractor online; it can directly extract attributes and save them in various formats. \In Sample\Mechanical Sample, there are attribute extraction templates and data connections available for practice.
Half of these can be resolved using the functions provided by AutoCAD, that is, extracting block attribute values. The second half might be more difficult, but it should be possible to achieve it through programming. As for how to extract block attributes, I posted a thread on the Chemical Engineering Technology Forum in 2005 with the title “Quickly Generating Equipment Lists in ACAD”.
